Record Number Come Out to Auditions

Thanks to everyone who came out to audition for Anne. We saw 83 people in two afternoons. We will see half of those who came out at call backs on Wednesday evening. From there, we'll chose the final cast of 26 to 30 people.

Wonderful experience! Thanks to both those who auditioned as well as the talented crew of people working on Anne.

Audition Update

There has been a lot of excitement around AOGG. With the large volume of people expressing an interest, the auditions may take time. I think patience will be required. If you are planning to audition, expect delays.

Welcome to Anne of Green Gables

Welcome to the Anne of Green Gables blog. I am the producer of AOGG, and I am really looking forward to working with Lise on this show. There is already a lot of buzz about it and ticket sales have begun already, so it is sure to be a big hit. I will post a draft copy of the rehearsal schedule in the near future, and hard copies will be available at auditions. We are looking for volunteers in many of the crew areas, particularly costumes, props, lighting, backstage crew, and sound. If you think you might be interested in helping out, please contact me. Our first production meeting is Wed. Jan. 11, but people are welcome to sign up at any time. I can be reached through this blog or at dhenderson@hpedsb.on.ca or my home phone number 771-0290. Stay tuned for more announcements, and I hope to hear from you soon and/or see you at auditions on Jan. 28 and 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pinnacle Playhouse, 256 Pinnacle St., Belleville.

Auditions

Auditions will be held Saturday January 28th and Sunday January 29th at 2:00 PM at the Pinnacle Playhouse in Belleville, Ontario.

Bring a prepared song with sheet music or your own karaoke CD. Our accompanist will be able to play most popular songs.

The audition will consist of readings from the text and a singing audition.

Parts available:

cast of about 20 to 25 actors ranging in age from 12 to 70.
