Gladys Simpson visits

Thursday May 17th marked a grand event as Gladys Simpson, one of the original founders of the BTG, visited the cast of Anne of Green Gables. Most of the cast is pictured here with Gladys centre. Gladys and her husband, Bert, started the community theatre at their house on Rednersville Road in 1951.
Gladys is 103 years old.

Anne has red hair

Anne (aka Braelyn) got red hair Saturday. Here she is standing in front of Dave's display window in front of the theatre. How about a hair appointment from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM?

Lights are Being Hung By the Scrim With Care

Well...As we get close to opening night, the many technical aspects of the production are being looked after. Costumes are getting dyed, hemmed and repaired, props are getting sorted, the set gets some stylish new paint every day, the lighting gnomes were there when I left at the theatre at 9:30 tonight still hanging off the grid. Also, tonight, the band was rehearsing in the green room and they sounded fabulous. What a sparkling, crisp sound! AOGG- here we come!
